Ani Gasparyan is the breaking news and general assignment reporter at The Desert Sun. She previously covered the cities of Desert Hot Springs and Cathedral City for the newspaper. She’s also worked at The Beverly Hills Weekly and The Crescenta Valley Weekly.
She graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with bachelor’s degrees in Sociology and Gender Studies after transferring from Glendale Community College.
Gasparyan currently lives in the Palm Springs area with her cat Whisper. She enjoys reading, drinking too much caffeine and wondering why she feels anxious, talking about her cat whenever the opportunity presents itself and bad reality television.
